Event Info / The Registration

Eligibility

All physically healthy and mentally sound running enthusiasts are welcome to participate. All ages and genders are welcome.

Quota

Quotas are determined according to each station (Taipei Station: 10,000 runners; Kaohsiung Station: 6,000 runners). Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Fee [ non-refundable ]

 Elite Run (21K):

■ Depends on the race category: “Elite Run Group Race Registration” or “Lottery Registration for Individual Race”.
■ All participants will need to pay a registration fee of 1,000 NTD (includes souvenir gift, insurance and chip timing service). Extra deposit of 100 NTD for timing chip will be refunded after completing post-race check-out procedures.

Glow Run (10K):

■ Registration eligibility is determined by lottery selection.
■ All participants must pay a registration fee of 800 NTD (includes souvenir gift, insurance and chip timing service). Extra deposit of 100 NTD for timing chip will be refunded after completing post-race check-out procedures.

Love Run (5K):

■ Registration eligibility is determined by lottery selection.
■ All participants must pay a registration fee of 800 NTD (includes souvenir gift, insurance, PUMA light-up Shoelaces valued at 580 NTD, and timing chip). All profits made in this category will be donated to the Liver Disease Prevention & Treatment Research Foundation.

Registration Deadline

For more details on the various stages of registration and the deadlines, please refer to the schedules for “Elite Run 21K Group Race Registration” and “Individual Lottery Selection Registration” . If the registration fee is settled after registration deadline, your registration will be rejected. The event organizer will not be responsible. Registration will close once the quota is full. The registrant must bear the cost of the registration fee even if registration is unsuccessful due to filled quota, missing documents or other reasons.
Elite Run (Group)
o show our appreciation for the Elite Run teams and their members, the 2017 Night Run will exempt team participants from having to go through a lottery selection for registration. In addition, Elite Run teams will have priority in being part of the first wave of runners in the event.

First Stage – Submit Registration Information for Review

Registration Method
Group Registration
Selection Criteria
● Ten people for team registration.
● All team members must provide certificates for completion of a half-marathon (for men, the completion time must have been under 2 hours; for women, the time must have been under 2 hours and 20 minutes).
● Every team must have at least three female members.
● Fill out all required information and upload all required documents on the event’s official website in the “21K Elite Run (Group) Registration” section within the respective time period.
Review Period
● All registration materials must be submitted within the specified time; otherwise the materials will not be accepted for review. After the review process, a list of eligible teams will be announced. Spots will be filled until the quota is full.
Fee Payment Method
● Eligible teams can pay the registration fee by using the payment code provided in their acceptance notice at 7-ELEVEN convenience stores or pay online.
● The registration fee must be paid by the specified deadline. Otherwise, your team will lose their spot in the event to another team.
Time Recording and Calculation
● The running time for each team will be recorded as a team. Individual team member’s running times will not be listed in the 21K Elite Run Individual Race.
● Scoring Method: The first eight members of each team to complete the race will have their times totaled. The team with the fastest total time will be awarded first place.
Event Prize
● Each station will have one winning team for the Elite Run Group Race event.
■ Within the respective registration period, those who want to participate in the Elite Run Group Race should visit the event’s official website and go into the “21K Elite Run (Group) Registration” page to fill out all required information and upload required documents, including all member’s certificate of completion for a half-marathon (male members must have finished within 2 hours; female members must have finished within 2 hours and 20 minutes). Modifications or additions to registration information or documents will not be accepted after submission. Please be mindful when filling out and uploading all required materials (JPG files should not exceed 2MB).
■ Participants are only allowed to sign-up for one event per station but not for both the group and individual races, nor are they allowed to sign up with more than one team.
ATTENTION
Submitting the required registration materials for review does not signify successful registration nor does it signify that your team has secured a spot in the race.

Stage Two – Announcement of Eligible Teams

Application Review

After the application review period has ended, the list of approved teams and a waiting list of teams by order of priority will be announced. The number of team slots for each station is listed below:

Signing Up After Acceptance

■ Team leader of accepted teams must submit all participants’ information within the specified time period. Each team can only log into the system once to fill out all required information for all ten team members that were submitted for review in the initial application stage (limited to the 21K Elite Run Group Race). The ten members admitted to compete in a team are not permitted to register again. If the team leader logs out of the system before filling out all required information, the team will be disqualified from the event.
Transferal or selling of spots in the race is strictly prohibited. Participants found to be engaging in the aforementioned activities will be immediately disqualified with no refunds or negotiations granted.
■ After the submission deadline, changes to participants’ names, event category, clothing size and/or request for refunds will not be permitted. If the admitted participant is unable to participate, the slot on the team may not be transferred to another participant.

Payment

After filling out and submitting all required information, the sign-up fee transaction must be completed within the specified time period at a 7-ELEVEN ibon or via online payment (processing fees shall be borne by the participant). Sign-up will be done upon settling the payment. Participants who fail to make the payment within the specified time period will not be able to participate in the race. Substitution or companion of participants in the race are strictly prohibited.

Waiting List

Teams on the waiting list are listed in order of priority. Depending on whether eligible teams have made their payments in time, teams will be moved off the waiting list accordingly. Waitlisted teams who are moved off the waiting list must fill out and submit all necessary information on time, after which no modifications or changes will be permitted.

Sign-up Procedures


Step 1:[ Registration ] Please go to the “Elite Run 21K Group Race Registration” section and fill out all the required information and upload all required documents. All information provided must be accurate and true. If any information is found out to be falsified or forged, the participant will be disqualified from participating in the race.
Step 2:[ Review ] After the review period, a list of approved teams and a list of waitlisted teams in the order they were reviewed will be announced.
Step 3:[ Acceptance ] The team managers of accepted teams need to go on the event’s official website to confirm and submit team members’ information and other related materials (e.g. address, birthdate, shirt size, check-in method, additional purchases). Each team is allowed to log into the system once. After completing this step, a unique payment code will be generated for your team which can be used to pay the sign-up fee via 7-ELEVEN ibon or online via card.
Step 4:[ PAYMENT ] Please follow the payment instructions on the registration page. You can use your team’s unique payment code to complete the transaction via a 7-ELEVEN ibon or online via card.
※7For payments under 20,000 NTD, the 7-ELEVEN ibon payment method will charge a processing fee of 35 NTD per transaction. Online payment via credit/ATM card will have a processing fee of 3% of the total amount. Such charges shall be borne by the payer.
Step 5:Email notifications will be sent out to confirm your registration after processing your payment. If you do not receive an email confirmation within two business days after payment, please go to the official website’s registration page to check your payment status or call the service number.
Step 6:The event host will send out another email notification about the check-in location one week prior to the event date. If you do not receive this email notification one week prior to the event but have successfully completed registration, please call the service number for assistance.

Information for Waitlisted Teams

■ If any eligible team does not complete their payment within the specified period, waitlisted teams will be moved off the waiting list accordingly in order of priority. Email notifications will be sent out if your team has been moved off the waiting list. Teams who have been moved off the waiting list must pay the sign-up fee within the specified period or risk losing their spot in the event.
■ For all other matters not touched on in these guidelines, please refer to the latest updates and announcements.
Individual Lottery Registration
In order to make the registration process run more smoothly, the event organizer will collaborate with the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association. Lottery selection mechanism will be adopted, which will take place at multiple intervals. Those who wish to participate need only pre-register online. After the pre-registration deadline, lots will be drawn in the presence of a notary public. The results of the lottery will then be compiled by computer into a main list of selected candidates and a waiting list. Those who are selected in the lottery selection must complete the sign-up fee within the respective period or risk losing their spot in the race.

First Stage – Pre-register for Lottery Selection

■ In the specified times when the lottery registration system is open, those who desire to participate in the drawing must log into the system and fill out all required information. No changes or modifications to your information will be accepted after submission, so please fill out your information carefully.
■ Each participant is only allowed to pre-register for one event per station. Multiple registrations are not permitted.
■ The selected participants must fill out their personal information and select the desired event and race category. After submitting your information, you will be taken to a webpage confirming your successful pre-registration for the lottery selection. Please save this page for future purposes.
ATTENTION
Pre-registering for the lottery selection neither signifies nor guarantees your spot in the event.

Stage Two – Lottery Draw/Results Announced→Selected participants fill out registration information→Submit payment

Lottery Selection

Under the witness of a notary public, the computerized lottery selection process will be initiated after the pre-registration deadline and will generate a list of accepted participants and a waiting list for each station. The maximum number of participants for each station and race category is as follows:

Filling out your information

■ Those selected to participate must fill out all required information within the specified period. Every selected participant is allowed to log into the system once to fill out their information. The selected participant may also choose to register one additional person (limited to the same race category). Multiple registrations are not permitted. If the selected participant logs out of the system without filling out all the required information, they will be disqualified from participating in the event.
Transfer or sale of your eligibility to participate in the race is strictly prohibited. Participants found to be engaging in the aforementioned activities will be immediately disqualified from participating in the race with no refunds or negotiations granted.
■ After the submission deadline, changes to participants’ names, event category, clothing size and/or request for refunds will not be permitted. If the original participant is unable to participate, their spot in the event may not be transferred to anyone else.

Payment

Waitlisted teams who are moved off the waiting list must fill out and submit all necessary information, after which no modifications or changes will be allowed. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A.This event will use a lottery selection system to select participants, and waitlisted individuals will be listed in order of priority. Registration will continue until all spots are filled. The final registration deadline will be announced on the event’s official website. For other related matters, please refer to the aforementioned information.
